Dan Ellis

Dan Ellis serves as Co President of BackgroundChecks.com since April 2025, following the acquisition of ClearChecks by HireRight. Previously, Dan co-founded Clear.me, focusing on decentralized identity and compliance within blockchain and cryptocurrency, and co-founded ClearChecks, which provided comprehensive data and risk-management solutions for employers. Earlier experience includes founding Syndero, Inc., where a scalable e-commerce platform was developed, and serving as Product Manager at Adteractive, Inc., where vertical products for major financial clients were created. Dan began their career at Intel Corporation as a Web Developer and holds a degree from the University of the Pacific's Eberhardt School of Business.
