BackRoads Brews + Shoes is a specialty running store and taproom built around great product, great service, and a genuine sense of community.

We offer a curated selection of running and walking footwear, apparel, and gear, paired with an in-store café and taproom serving coffee, beer, and non-alcoholic options. But what really sets BackRoads apart is the experience: a place where people come not just to shop, but to connect.

We believe running is for everyone. Whether you’re training for your first 5K, chasing a personal best, or just getting out the door for fresh air, BackRoads is designed to support you along the way. Through weekly run clubs, social events, and an inclusive environment, we’re building a space where people feel welcome, supported, and inspired.

At our core, we’re a community hub—part retail store, part café, part gathering place. A “third place” for runners and walkers alike.

As we continue to grow, including our expansion into the Kitchener-Waterloo region, our focus remains the same:
create a space people want to be, build meaningful relationships, and deliver an experience that keeps people coming back.
