Badalu is committed to ensure that there is an increase in the number of women and youth who have relevant skills including technical and vocational skill for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship.
We are committed to ensure that there is an end of all forms of discrimination against all women wherever they work free of abuse.
We ensure that both men and women get access to well-paying jobs by adding value to their skills through home care training where they get job placement and entrepreneurship training.
Badalu Homecare School is a women and youth empowerment program in Homecare and Entrepreneurship equipped with two complete phases A&B of the program.
Phase A: The Homecare training program, participants undergo comprehensive training in various skills, including; cooking, childcare, housekeeping, laundry, life skills, first aid, home nursing and eco-friendly homecare solutions with a focus on supporting climate change initiatives. After completing the training, participants are connected to employment opportunities in homes through local and international partnership agencies. The program extends beyond placement, offering continuous mentorship to enhance skills through monitoring and evaluation, ensuring participants seamlessly integrate into any home environment.
Phase B: The entrepreneurship program focuses on empowering women and youth in homecare, equipping them with skills to start small businesses. Emphasis is placed on financial literacy, with salaries processed through banks, and participants are taught the significance of savings. The program provides exposure to different businesses, allowing participants to learn from experts about challenges and strengths in the Kenyan market. The ultimate goal is to enable participants to identify and seize suitable business opportunities within their local environment.
