Cal Burch

Cal Burch is an experienced maritime professional with a diverse background in sea operations. Currently serving as First Mate on the R/V Lake Explorer II at Badger Technical Services since July 2017, Cal previously held positions as Able Seaman with OMSI Off Shore Marine Services and Seaman Surveyor with NOAA from July 2011 to July 2014. Additionally, Cal has a long tenure with Seaway Corporation from February 1999 to June 2010, where responsibilities included serving as Captain and Owner in commercial fishing operations focused on Dungeness Crab, Albacore Tuna, and Pacific Salmon. Cal Burch received education from Clatsop Community College in Astoria, Oregon.
