John Brunner

John Brunner currently holds the position of VP - IT at BAE Systems, Inc., a role commenced in February 2024, with direct reporting to the CIO and a matrixed relationship to the VP & Deputy General Manager for the Platform & Services sector. Prior to this, John served as Sr. IT Director at BAE Systems from January 2008 to February 2024, overseeing IT support for a $2.4B global combat mission systems production business. John has also undertaken an acting role as CIO for the $3.5B Platforms and Services sector, along with various IT leadership roles since starting at BAE Systems in 2001. Previous experience includes positions at United Defense, FMC/BMY Corporation, FMC Corporation, and Rockwell Space Operations. John Brunner earned a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics with Magna Cum Laude honors from the University of Minnesota, where education was completed between 1984 and 1988.
