Michael Vasek

Michael Vasek is currently the Director of Systems Engineering at BAE Systems, Inc., where they have been since 2025. Prior to this role, they held various positions at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc., including Director of Systems Engineering and Integrated Analytics, and Program Manager. Michael's career began in the US Navy, where they served as an Electrician's Mate and later as a Submarine Officer. They earned a Master’s degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, supplemented by specialized training in submarine operations and nuclear power.
