Paul Smith

Paul Smith is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple industries, particularly in procurement, supply chain management, and operations. Currently serving as SVP/GM of Ship Repair at BAE Systems, Inc. since June 2020, Paul oversees a substantial business unit with a P&L responsibility of approximately $1B and has focused on revenue growth and customer relationships. Prior to this position, Paul held the role of Chief Procurement Officer at BAE Systems, where recognition was received on the 2020 CIPS Procurement Power List for being one of the most influential leaders in procurement. Paul’s previous experience includes senior executive roles at GE Power & Water and GE Oil & Gas, where responsibilities encompassed sourcing, supply chain integration, and operational leadership for large-scale projects and organizations across global platforms. Paul holds a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and multiple advanced degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, including an MBA and a Master's in Mechanical Engineering.
