Rich Nelson

Rich Nelson is a defense and aerospace professional with extensive experience in military aviation services, currently serving as the Director of Government Relations, Executive Branch at BAE Systems, Inc. Previously, Rich held leadership roles in the United States Air Force, including Commander of the 31st Operations Group and Chief of Current Operations at the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. With a background in operational management, program oversight, and tactical employment of fighter aircraft, Rich has contributed to numerous strategic initiatives and has successfully led diverse teams across various operational environments. Rich's educational credentials include Master's degrees from the National Defense University and the Air Command and Staff College, with additional executive education from Wharton.
