Torrey Hayden

Torrey Hayden is an Optical Systems Engineer with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder. With over a decade of experience, Torrey has developed and implemented laser-based sensors for harsh environments, emphasizing problem-solving and product development. They have held roles at institutions such as Koch Engineered Solutions and BAE Systems, where they focused on gas sensing and optical technologies. Additionally, Torrey gained valuable research experience through internships at Cornell University and 3M, as well as through teaching assistant positions.
