Baeru means “roots” in Kannada language. We are India’s first Ocean plastics recovery startup and are pioneering a robust alliance with the fisheries community, spearheading marine litter recovery initiatives along India's coastal frontiers. The cornerstone of our approach is our pioneering ethical incentivization model, which significantly boosts the extraction of marine litter entangled in bycatch of fishermen on their fishing trips.

This reclaimed ocean plastic embarks on a transformative journey towards circularity, propelled by our expansive and efficient waste value chain network. Our collaborative efforts with fisheries communities, government bodies and waste warriors in these coastal areas forge vital connections, ensuring that this plastic material completes a sustainable, full-circle voyage.

By engaging with our program, not only do you fuel a system that rewards fair compensation and incentives for recycling challenging plastics, but your brand also strides forward, aligning closer with its profound sustainability ambitions through the vital act of marine litter recovery.
