Marcel Weitze

Marcel Weitze has extensive work experience in various roles within the casting technology and production engineering fields. Marcel began their career as a Process Engineer at Baettr in February 2015 before moving up to roles such as Production Engineering & Logistics Manager and Manager Global Casting Technology. Marcel's most recent position at Baettr was as the Director of Casting Technology. Prior to Baettr, they worked at Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven AG as an Intern and later as an Assistant in Operational Management. Marcel also gained experience at WeserWind GmbH Offshore Construction Georgsmarienhütte, where they worked as an Assistant in the Sales/Calculation and Welding Departments. Overall, Marcel has a strong background in casting technology, production engineering, and operational management.

Marcel Weitze has a diverse education history, with a focus on engineering and technology. Marcel completed their Foundry Engineering degree at VDG-Akademie from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained their Master of Science degree in Wind Energy Techniques from Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences between 2012 and 2014.

Before pursuing their master's degree, Marcel earned a Bachelor of Science in Marine Technologies from the same university from 2009 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Marcel has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Marcel completed a Supply Chain Management course at Trainings Manufaktur in June 2018 and achieved Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Six Sigma Deutschland GmbH in October 2017. Marcel also completed an APQP4Wind Awareness Training, conducted by an internal DNV-GL Trainer, in May 2017.
