Øystein Aarsæther

Øystein Aarsæther has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Øystein started their career in 2012 as a Summer Intern at Rolls-Royce Marine AS, where they focused on ship design and systems integration. Øystein was responsible for production and revision of system drawings, as well as inspection and management of pictures from shipyard inspections.

In 2014, Øystein joined Aalesund University College as a Project Engineer and Student Assistant. Øystein represented the college at a conference in Orlando and was involved in programming and training of robots. Øystein also worked as part of the NX-Support Team, assisting students with Siemens NX.

Following their time at the university, Øystein worked as a Fisherman and Marine Engineer Assistant at M/S Gunnar Langva. Øystein operated as a fisherman on a purse seiner and pelagic trawler, primarily fishing North Sea herring and capelin in Greenland waters. Øystein also performed various maintenance tasks on the boat.

In 2016, Øystein co-founded BagID, a company where they were involved in unspecified roles.

Most recently, from 2017 onwards, Øystein has been working at VARD as an Engineer and Technical Coordinator.

Øystein Aarsæther completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aalesund University College from 2011 to 2014. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2014 to 2016. During their Master's program, they also participated in an exchange program at Chalmers University of Technology in 2015-2016, focusing on Production and Mechanical Engineering.
