Founded in 2019, Bagwell Consulting was born because representation is not reflected in Oregon government leadership. Diverse voices are needed to lead us into a progressive future for our communities. Shani Harris-Bagwell knew she possessed the vision and enterprise to assemble and multiply candidates-of-color. Through her education with Emerge Oregon and The Collective PAC’s Black Campaign School, Shani saw the exponential impact she could have by navigating the way for underrepresented people to engage in the political process. Coupling that political passion, a deep knowledge and love of policy, and a background in classical music and theater, Shani was uniquely positioned to understand the ways the arts can impact how we receive and process sensitive information. Through Bagwell Consulting, Shani delivers all the political and artistic knowledge she’s honed and designed into programs that empower people. Using Shani’s tools and materials, clients of Bagwell Consulting’s find their powerfully authentic inner political beast and unleash it onto the world with the confidence and drive of an artist.
