Phil Schefter is currently a Senior Partner at Bain & Company, based in the Boston office, where they lead the Strategy Practice and the Advanced Manufacturing & Services practice. Phil joined Bain in 1989, was elected to the partnership in 1995, and became a Director in 2001, serving on Bain’s Global Operating Committee from 2007 to 2017. Prior to joining Bain, Phil worked as an industrial engineer at General Motors from 1985 to 1987. They earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering and operations research from Syracuse University.
