James O'Brien

James O'Brien is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the real estate private capital and advisory sector. Since October 2011, O'Brien has served as Managing Director at Baird, leading the Real Estate Private Capital and Advisory Group with a focus on transaction origination and execution. Prior to this role, O'Brien was the Managing Director at FBR from July 2006 to August 2011, where a similar focus on real estate transactions was maintained. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Director at UBS Investment Bank from August 2002 to July 2006, contributing to the Private Placement and Equity Capital Markets Groups. O'Brien earned an M.B.A. in Finance from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Management Information Systems from Saint Joseph's University.
