William Vail

William Vail, CSP, is a seasoned safety professional with extensive experience in the construction and electrical industries. Currently serving as Sr. Regional Safety Manager at Baker Electric since April 2019, William supports the Services and Special Projects division. Previously, at Sunrun from 2008 to April 2019, William held multiple positions including Sr. Safety Specialist, where key contributions included developing regional improvement strategies and implementing the company’s first Leading Indicator metrics for jobsite safety. William’s background also features roles as Construction Supervisor and Electrical Foreman, overseeing and training teams in residential and commercial solar installations. Additional instructional roles include Lead Instructor at Troop Transition, teaching a NABCEP-approved course, and serving as an adjunct instructor for the Western Electrical Contractors Association. William’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health/Fire Science from Columbia Southern University and an Associate of Science in Electricity from San Diego City College.
