Gerald Lam

Gerald Lam serves as Special Counsel in Investigations, Compliance & Ethics at Baker McKenzie since January 2021, recognized by Global Investigations Review in 2024 as one of the world’s leading young investigations specialists. Lam has earned distinction as a "Key Lawyer" for Regulatory: White-collar, Compliance and Investigations in Hong Kong according to Legal 500 Asia Pacific for the years 2024-2025. Prior experience includes positions as Senior Associate at Kirkland & Ellis from February 2018 to January 2021, and Associate roles at Sidley Austin LLP and Gilead Sciences. At Gilead Sciences, Lam held the role of Regional Legal and Compliance Counsel for various Asia-Pacific jurisdictions. Lam holds a JD in Law from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a BA Honours in Politics and International Relations from McMaster University.
