Laurel McCarthy

Laurel McCarthy has extensive experience in the meetings and events industry. Laurel began their career as a Director of Sales at The Sagamore Resort in 1990, where they worked until 2003. From 2003 to 2013, they held the role of Director of Sales & Marketing at Embassy Suites Rosemont IL and Krisam Group. In 2013, Laurel joined Baker McKenzie as a Manager of Global Meetings & Events, and later held the position of Senior Manager from 2015 to 2017. Currently, they are working as the Associate Director of Global Meetings & Events at Baker McKenzie.

Laurel McCarthy has a Masters of Science degree with a concentration in Administration & Leadership from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, which they obtained from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, from 1985 to 1987, they attended the University of South Carolina. Laurel also holds an Associates degree in Hotel from Paul Smith's College, which they completed from 1983 to 1985.
