Scott J. has extensive work experience in the field of information security and technology. Scott began their career in 1995 as a U.S. Naval Law Enforcement/Fleet Protection officer in the United States Navy. After their military service, Scott worked as an Information Technology Coordinator for the City of Chicago from 2002 to 2007. Scott then served as an Information Technology Manager for After School Matters in 2007. Scott joined Vistana Signature Experiences in 2008 and held the positions of Information Technology Project Lead and Information Security Analyst until 2016. Scott then worked as an Information Security Analyst for ILG, Inc. from 2016 to 2018, followed by a role at Marriott Vacations Worldwide as an Information Security Analyst from 2018 to 2019. Scott joined BMW Technology Corporation in 2019 as a Sr. Security Engineer before moving to their current position as Lead Security Engineer (VAPT) at Baker McKenzie in July 2022.

Scott J. holds a Master of Science in Information Systems degree with a specialization in Information Assurance and Network & Security Design from DePaul University, obtained in or before 2011. Scott also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology with a focus on Web Application Development from DeVry University, obtained in or before 2003. Prior to that, Scott J. completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Illinois Chicago in or before 2001. In addition to their formal education, Scott J. obtained various certifications in different areas of information security, such as GIAC Cloud Penetration Tester (GCPN) and CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
