Matt Smith

Matt Smith, CPA, is currently an Assurance Manager at Baker Tilly, having transitioned from an Audit Supervisor role at Hancock Askew & Co., LLP prior to its merger with Baker Tilly in 2025. Smith gained valuable experience in various auditing roles, including Senior Auditor and Staff Auditor at Hancock Askew, and also completed internships with Gulfstream Aerospace, UPS, and Rushton. Smith holds a Master of Accounting from Georgia Southern University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of North Georgia. Previously, Smith served as a Flight Engineer in the US Army, overseeing high-value assets and training junior soldiers.
