Michael Smoot

Michael Smoot, CPA, is an Assurance Principal at Baker Tilly, where they leverage over 15 years of public accounting experience to serve a diverse range of private and public companies, particularly in the hospitality sector. Previously, they were an Assurance Partner at Moss Adams, where they held various roles including Senior Accountant and Audit Senior Manager. Michael specializes in leading audit engagements and providing consultation services on technical audit and accounting matters. They are a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants. Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Gonzaga University.
