Rick Barnett has extensive legal experience spanning several prominent organizations, including the roles of Counsel and Senior Counsel at International Paper, where strategic legal advice was provided to a $7B distribution division. At Beckman, Weil, Shepardson and Faller, Rick represented numerous Fortune 500 companies and successfully argued cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. As Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary at Batesville, and later Vice President, Associate General Counsel, and Assistant Secretary at Hillenbrand, Rick managed a $3M legal budget and oversaw legal matters across various domains, contributing to a combined $1B in annual sales. Currently, as Of Counsel at Baker & Hostetler LLP, Rick continues to offer expertise in commercial, transactional, and employment law. Rick holds a J.D. from The Ohio State University College of Law and a B.A. in History from the University of Pennsylvania.
