Sultan Askarov

Sultan Askarov serves as the Deputy General Director at Baku Steel Company since April 2022, where responsibilities include overseeing commercial strategies, risk management, and quality management. Prior roles at the company included Strategy Director and Internal Audit Executive, where Sultan established a fully functioning internal audit department and conducted comprehensive audits of main business units. Concurrently, Sultan holds a position as an Adjunct Instructor at ADA University since September 2021. Previously, Sultan worked at EY from October 2013 to March 2022, advancing from Assurance Senior to Assurance Manager, leading large audit engagements and advising on internal control environments. Sultan's academic background includes an MBA in Finance from ADA University, a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, and ACCA qualifications.
