The origin of Balfours can be traced back to 1853 when the Calder family immigrated to South Australia, quickly establishing themselves as the State’s premier bakers after they opened their first bakery in Adelaide.

Today the Balfours brand is still proudly Australian owned and made, with ingredients locally sourced where possible. Balfours continues to inspire a feeling of joy and comfort, this being encompassed in the brand’s positioning, ‘Baking people happy since 1853’.
