Ted Schlein

Ted Schlein currently serves as Chairman and General Partner at Ballistic Ventures, a position held since December 2021. Additionally, Schlein has been a General Partner at Kleiner Perkins since October 1996, where involvement on boards includes notable companies such as Chegg, Inspirato, IronPlanet, and Synack, among others. Schlein has also been an observer for firms like Endgame and Carbon Black. Previous investments in cybersecurity include Internet Security Systems and LifeLock. Prior to venture capital, Schlein held the role of Vice President of Enterprise Solutions at Symantec from June 1986 to September 1996. Schlein holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and attended Millburn High School from 1979 to 1982.
