Founded by Sabra Ballon in 2003, ballonSTUDIO is a San Francisco-based, full-service interior design firm creating refined, highly functional, and deeply personal spaces for private residences, legacy homes, multi-generational compounds, and boutique hospitality projects.

With Sabra’s background in architecture at its foundation, the studio brings uncommon depth to interiors, balancing beauty with structure, proportion, function, and detail.

Led by a senior team of specialists, ballonSTUDIO brings a client-first process to every project, blending interior architecture, furnishings, lighting, custom cabinetry, art, materiality, and full-service execution. The studio’s work is rooted in subtlety, classicism, biophilic design, responsible design, and a deep understanding of how homes support optimal daily life, family connections, privacy, wellness, and longevity.

ballonSTUDIO collaborates closely with clients, architects, builders, owner’s representatives, estate managers, and private advisors throughout Northern California and select destination markets, including San Francisco, Marin, Napa Valley, Sonoma, Lake Tahoe, Sea Ranch, Silicon Valley, Sun Valley and nation wide.

ballonSTUDIO’s work has been published in the San Francisco Chronicle, Elle Décor, California Home + Design, Business of Home, and other leading design publications.
