Jon Vickers

Jon Vickers is a Vision Expert at Balluff EMEA, a position held since October 2023, following a similar role at MATRIX VISION GmbH since January 2022, where responsibilities included technical sales across Denmark, Ireland, and the UK. Prior experience includes serving as Technical Manager at Balluff EMEA from February 2021 to January 2022, overseeing a team focused on Vision sales in the UK and supporting Northern Europe. Vickers spent nearly 14 years at STEMMER IMAGING, initially as Technical Support from 2004 to 2007, then as Technical Manager/Product Manager from July 2007 to February 2021, managing an engineering team and conducting feasibility studies. Early career experience as Project Manager at Machine Vision Technology from 2001 to 2004 involved evaluating and supporting machine vision systems mainly in the pharmaceutical and automotive sectors. Vickers holds a PhD in Medical Image Analysis from Coventry University and a BSc (Hons) in Astrophysics from Keele University.
