Oded Sobol

Oded Sobol is an accomplished professional in the field of materials engineering with extensive experience in both research and management. Currently serving as Project Manager at Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung since February 2014, Oded coordinates the Materials Compatibility and Properties for Hydrogen technologies within the H2Safety@BAM competence center. Previous roles include Laboratory Manager overseeing the Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry laboratory and Postdoctoral Researcher focused on Na0.5Bi0. Oded's academic journey includes a Doctor of Science degree from Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, along with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Materials Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Additional experience includes teaching and research assistant positions at Ben-Gurion University, demonstrating a strong foundation in both practical laboratory skills and academic instruction.
