John Sun is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in portfolio management and trading. Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. since November 2022, John previously held the position of Managing Director and Head of Americas Non-Linear Rates Trading at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from July 2011 to May 2022. Prior to that, John worked as an Analyst in USD Rates Exotics & Hybrids Trading at Barclays Investment Bank from January 2008 to June 2011. John holds dual degrees in Honours Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, both completed between 2004 and 2009.
