Simon Young is an accomplished professional in the field of quantitative development and trading systems, currently serving as Commodities Quant Development at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. since April 2024. Prior to this role, Simon held several prominent positions, including Senior VP of Electronic Commodities Trading at Citigroup from November 2017 to April 2024, and worked in various capacities at Deutsche Bank and Bank of America Merrill Lynch with a focus on trading systems and electronic foreign exchange. Simon's extensive experience also includes significant roles at RBS Global Banking & Markets and RBS, where systems for FX, equity derivatives, and algorithmic trading were designed and developed. Simon began a successful career at J.P. Morgan, contributing to system design within the Equities group. An alumnus of the University of Cambridge, Simon graduated with 1st class Honours in Engineering and Computer Science.
