Steven Mitra

Steven Mitra is an experienced portfolio manager with a background in European credit and a strong track record in long/short strategies across the capital structure. Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. since January 2015, Steven is on long-term medical leave. Prior to this role, Steven was a Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager at LNG Capital LLP from August 2010 to September 2014, where management of the flagship fund was a key responsibility. Steven also held the position of Managing Director at Bear Stearns, managing a substantial fixed income portfolio, and served as a Fund Manager at both LNG Capital and RAB Capital during earlier career phases. Steven holds a B.Sc in Mathematics from Imperial College London and completed earlier education at St. Xavier's Collegiate School.
