Chris Brown is a seasoned digital communications professional with extensive experience in managing web and email communications for prominent art institutions. Currently serving as the Digital Communications Manager at the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive since September 2018, Chris oversees content and ticketing for about 500 events annually, while developing and upgrading the organization's Drupal site. Previously, Chris was the Webmaster at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts from 2010 to 2018, where four major website redesigns were led, transitioning from a proprietary CMS to an agile workflow using open-source Drupal. Chris's earlier roles include Production Manager at BabyCenter, where qualitative research informed content strategy, and Web Developer at Eleven, Inc., with foundational experience as Webmaster and Technical Support at Palm Computing. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.

Our mission is to inspire the imagination and ignite critical dialogue through art and film, engaging audiences from the UC Berkeley campus, the Bay Area, and beyond. Each year BAMPFA presents more than twenty art exhibitions, 450 film programs, and dozens of performances, as well as lectures, symposia, and tours.
