Nat Rees is an experienced film industry professional currently serving as the Film Exhibition Program Manager at Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive since August 2019. With a rich background in film programming and community engagement, Nat previously worked as a Program Associate at Boston Jewish Film, where the focus was on the Jewish experience through media. Additional roles include Volunteer Coordinator at Star Island Corporation, Research Intern at Florentine Films, and Board Member for Monadnock International Film Festival, contributing to independent cinema's promotion and appreciation. Nat's foundational experience began at Keene State College, where involvement included positions such as Film Library Assistant and Manager of Operations at the Putnam Theater, alongside earning a Bachelor of Arts in Film Critical Studies with a Minor in Art History. Academic pursuits also included a stint at Jagiellonian University in 2016.
