Philippe Pirotte is a seasoned arts professional currently serving as the Director at Portikus since 2014. As the Dean at Städelschule and an Adjunct Senior Curator at the University of California, Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive since 2012, they contribute significantly to contemporary art education and curation. Philippe was the Founding Director at objectif_exhibitions from 1999 to 2004 and held the role of Director at Kunsthalle Bern between 2005 and 2011, where they organized notable exhibitions. They possess a Master's degree in Art History from Universiteit Gent and continue to pursue further education in the field.
