David Haughton

David has responsibility for all engineering activities across the portfolio of Bango products and services. Leading teams of highly skilled engineers, with a focus on continuous improvement of process, strict adherence to (and definition of) best practices, and ways of working. He ensures that innovation and a willingness to experiment and evolve remain consistent cornerstones of the Bango engineering function and mindset.

As a lifelong technologist, David has held both individual contributor and senior leadership positions in his previous roles and joined Bango to drive the Cloud Transformation program for the business at the start of 2020. Previously he held a number of positions with Velocix (formerly Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent), most recently as the head of Advanced R&D. He has experience throughout the entire product and project lifecycles, from scoping requirements, to architecting solutions, implementation, testing and ongoing support and operations. David provides consistency across all these areas, doing so at scale, with a continuous focus on performance and resilience whilst still delivering results.
