Dave O'Brien

Dave O'Brien is the Global Head of Platforms & Service Management at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), a position held since August 2020 after a distinguished 34-year tenure at HSBC. At FAB, Dave leads teams responsible for service management of 788 production services and the adoption of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. Prior to joining FAB, Dave served in various leadership roles at HSBC, including CIO of Digital Services, where oversight included the agile DEVOPS delivery of digital platforms with a global team of 250 across multiple countries, and global service management for over 300 internet banking services. Dave's extensive experience also includes significant data center migration projects and the establishment of cloud standards. Dave holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Teesside University.
