Rob Packer has worked in various roles in different companies over the years. Rob began their career in 2002 as a volunteer at Cornelsen Press. Rob then worked as an Associate and a Margin Lending Associate at Goldman Sachs from 2005 to 2009. During this time, they investigated and qualified margin risk for cash and derivative products, performed a key contact role between external client requests and internal organization, and identified inefficiencies and implemented automations. Rob then worked as a Portfolio Manager, The Americas and a Kiva Fellow at Kiva.org from 2009 to 2011. In this role, they identified key risk areas to implement and streamline operational processes, assessed the value and success of social mission, and trained staff and educated microfinance borrowers on financing model. From 2011 to 2019, they worked as a Manager, Programs, Fund Manager, and Venture Associate at SITAWI Finanças do Bem. Rob is currently employed at Banxware, where they have held the roles of Lead Risk Manager, Senior Credit Risk Manager, and Werkstudent since 2021.
Rob Packer has a Master of Arts degree in German Literature from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, which they obtained between 2018 and 2021. Rob also holds an MA (Cantab) in Modern & Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge, which they obtained between 2000 and 2004.
