Sam Wormald

Sam Wormald is a highly experienced Senior Data Scientist currently working at Bapcor Limited since October 2023. Previously, Sam held the position of Data Scientist Lead at Bunnings from January 2018 to October 2023, focusing on consumer loyalty analytics and supply chain optimization. Sam's earlier experience includes roles at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research from February 2012 to December 2017, where responsibilities included leading genomics data science projects aimed at personalizing medicine and predicting treatment outcomes. Additionally, Sam contributed as a Research Associate at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute from 2007 to 2012, developing high-throughput automation technologies for genomic barcoding. Sam completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Genetics/Informatics at the University of Melbourne from 2002 to 2006.
