Merce Crosas

Merce Crosas is the Director of Computational Social Sciences and Humanities at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and currently serves as President of CODATA. With extensive experience in data science and software development, they previously held leadership positions at Harvard University, including Director of Data Science and Chief Data Science and Technology Officer. Merce's earlier roles include Senior Manager of Software Development at WebCT and Astrophysicist at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian. They earned a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Rice University and have been involved in research and academia since their studies at the Universitat de Barcelona.
