Brian Gealey

Brian Gealey is an experienced executive in data strategy and data management, currently serving as the Head of Data Strategy for the US Consumer Bank at Barclays since July 2021. Gealey leads the migration of on-premise data to the Amazon cloud, focusing on optimizing external data usage and enhancing data stewardship to drive business growth. Prior to Barclays, Gealey held various leadership positions at Capital One from July 2001 to July 2021, including Director of Enterprise Data Management, where policies for cloud data management were established, and Director of Program Management Office, overseeing a significant digital transformation initiative. Gealey holds a Master of Science in Management of Information Technology from the University of Virginia, a Data Science Bootcamp certification from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Penn State University.
