David Upton

David Upton is currently the Managing Director - Chief of Staff at Barclays Private Bank and Wealth Management and serves as a Young Global Leader with the World Economic Forum since 2023. They have extensive experience in compliance and strategy development, having held multiple leadership roles at Barclays from 2017 to 2020, including Managing Director - Chief of Staff for Compliance and Public Policy & Corporate Responsibility. Previously, Upton worked at the Financial Services Authority and the Bank of England, contributing to key operational and human resources initiatives. They are also pursuing a BSc in Physics at the University of Warwick and are committed to championing diverse thinking and equal opportunity as an LGBT+ leader.
