Sam McAuliffe

Sam McAuliffe has extensive experience in regulatory policy within the financial services sector, having worked at the Financial Services Authority from September 2000 to October 2006 as a Technical Specialist in Prudential Policy. Key responsibilities included leading the Solvency 2 Pillar 1 workstream and collaborating with the industry on market-based valuation of insurance liabilities. Sam McAuliffe's tenure at Barclays spans from March 2009 to the present, with roles including Director of Regulatory Policy, Managing Director and Head of Finance Regulatory Policy, and currently serving as Group Head of ICAAP and ILAAP. In these positions, accountability for the technical application of IFRS, US GAAP, and prudential requirements has been paramount, along with being the technical lead for Basel 4 regulation and providing comprehensive prudential advisory services to various Barclays businesses.
