Simon Butcher

Simon Butcher is a seasoned professional in IT project management, currently serving as Vice President at Barclays Corporate Banking since 2013, where ownership of the Oracle Hyperion Financial Management portfolio includes leading various infrastructure and software projects for the finance function. Prior to this role, Simon was a Senior IT Project Manager at HSBC from May 2011 to February 2013, managing IT projects related to finance. Between October 2000 and April 2011, Simon held the role of IT Project Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, focusing on enterprise-wide security and fraud prevention initiatives, as well as having served as a Programme Support Officer earlier in the RBS career with responsibilities in project management support and risk analysis. Simon earned a BSc (Hons) in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Middlesex University from 1996 to 1999, and has educational foundations from Telford New College and Phoenix Secondary School.
