Steve Howells

Steve Howells has extensive experience in information security and governance, currently serving as the Director of Threat Intelligence at Barclays since January 2004. Throughout this tenure, Howells has held multiple leadership roles, including Head of Strategic Intelligence and Security Governance and Director of Transformation & Governance in Security Operations, where contributions included establishing the first business management office in the Global Information Security team. Prior experience includes Security Operations Manager at KPMG International HQ, where Howells was responsible for global security incident response and operational security standards. Educational background includes studies in Physics at the University of Birmingham and attendance at the Heart of England School.
