Stuart Baker

Stuart Baker is the Chief Operating Officer of Group Control at Barclays Bank PLC, where they lead a global organization of over 16,000 colleagues. Since joining Barclays in 2018, Stuart has held various leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer of Barclays Execution Services and Chief Operating Officer of Barclays Corporate & Investment Bank. Prior to this, they spent more than two decades at JPMorgan Chase, where they held Managing Director positions, including Chief Controls Officer and Head of Operations. Stuart studied Engineering Mathematics at Bristol University, graduating in 1995, and is committed to colleague wellbeing through their role as Executive sponsor for the COO’s Be Well agenda.
