Atul Kumar

Atul Kumar is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in systems architecture and AI adaptation. Currently serving as Systems Architect – AI Adaptation at Barco since November 2019, Atul leads innovative strategies to integrate contextual awareness and predictive analytics into control-room ecosystems. Prior to this role, Atul was a Senior Chief Engineer at Samsung R&D Institute India from March 2008 to November 2018, where significant contributions included architecting the AllShare Framework, enabling seamless cross-device communication within digital media. Atul's experience also includes a tenure as Principal Engineer at Itron, Inc., where proof of concept for smart meter theft detection was developed, achieving 80% accuracy. Educational qualifications include a Master of Applied Data Science from the University of Michigan.
