Stijn Crul

Stijn Crul is a Senior Research Engineer and Product Manager at Barco since June 2020, specializing in bridging the gap between prototype and product in innovation projects, particularly in healthcare display solutions that integrate sensors, AI, and 3D technology. Prior to this role, Stijn served as a Research Engineer, focusing on fast prototyping and the validation of new concepts in funded research. Stijn's earlier experience includes a researcher position at KU Leuven from 2015 to June 2020, with a focus on IoT, commissioning, sensing, and machine learning, as well as summer internships at Barco, where design and implementation of a VHDL parser in Java were completed. Stijn holds a degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Electronics from KU Leuven and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Katholieke Hogeschool 'Sint-Lieven' in Gent.
