Richard W. has extensive experience in finance and management within the housing and healthcare sectors. Currently serving as a Housing Consultant at Melin Homes, Richard provides critical advice on mergers, concurrently acting as a Board Member at Barcud where leadership is provided in task and finish groups. Previously, Richard held the position of Chief Executive at Connexus and Director of Resources at Herefordshire Housing Ltd, overseeing significant operational functions. Experience also includes roles as Group Chief Accountant at Sanctuary Group, Finance Manager at Hightown Praetorian & Churches Housing Association, and various accounting positions within the NHS and other housing associations. Richard earned a Hons degree in Economics from Coventry University and completed earlier education at Wilmington Grammar School.

Barcud
On the 1st of November 2020, Tai Ceredigion and Mid-Wales Housing association merged and the newly formed housing association is called Barcud. By bringing together expertise, experience and vision, Barcud will be the backbone for providing affordable housing to rent, rent-to-own and buy in the heart of Wales. Barcud is a not for profit housing association. Every penny is ploughed back into providing first class homes in our communities across Powys, Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.
