Cem Karacadag has a strong background in finance and economics. Cem started their career at Standard & Poor's in 1994 as the Director of Asian Sovereign Ratings. Cem then transitioned to the International Monetary Fund in 1998, working as an Economist until 2005. From there, Karacadag joined Credit Suisse as the Director of Southeast Asia and India Economics until 2010. Cem then moved to Oppenheimer Funds, where they served as an Emerging Market Analyst and Investment Manager until 2014. Currently, Karacadag is the Head of Emerging Markets Sovereign Debt and Portfolio Manager at Barings.

Cem Karacadag earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from Tufts University in 1991. Cem then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International Economics from The Johns Hopkins University, which they completed in 1993.
