Rob Fairfax

Rob Fairfax has a diverse work experience in the finance and real estate industry. Rob started their career in 2009 as an Audit Associate at Buzzacott, where they later became a Senior Audit Associate. In 2012, they joined Savannah Energy as the UK Financial Controller before moving on to become a Finance Business Partner at Legatum in 2014. In 2016, they joined TOPLAND GROUP PLC as a Financial Controller in the real estate sector. Rob then joined Barings in 2018 as an Associate Director in Finance for Real Estate, and later became the Director of Finance in the same department. Rob recently took on the role of Deputy Portfolio Manager (Real Estate Private Equity) before assuming their current role as Director and Portfolio Manager at Barings in 2024.

Rob Fairfax attended St Clare's Independent School from 2000 to 2006. Rob then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at the University of Bristol from 2006 to 2009. After that, they completed a three-year chartered accounting program (ACA) in Accounting and Finance at ICAEW from 2009 to 2012. In 2023, they obtained the INREV Henley Certificate in non-listed real estate investment.
